Background

Financial Tradeware PLC is a leading provider of Straight Through Processing (STP) Portfolio Management and Brokerage software for Investment Managers, Hedge Funds and IFAs. The company was founded by a group of industry specialists and programmers with the primary goals of accelerating the STP rate, improving organisational efficiency and reliability, and reducing operational costs in small to medium size organisations.

Financial Tradeware operate across Europe with offices in London, Rome, Geneva and Brussels.

The Project

Financial Tradeware required a system that they could install and support internally. The system had to provide multi-language support, full control of content and layout and provide the flexibility to allow expansion with disrupting the operation of the website. The system also had to be modular with the ability to add functionality as required.

Financial Tradeware sought to leverage their website investment by using the same system to control their European intranet. The intranet installation included substantial requirements for flexibility and extendibility to allow new functions to be added as required.

Financial Tradeware also wished to operate their chosen Content Management System from their corporate web server. The selected system also had to be able to operate within their security structures and guidelines.

The Solution

In 2004 3internet were able to provide Financial Tradeware with a solution that met their specifications by implementing the Inigo Content Management System.

Inigo has been installed on Financial Tradeware's web server. Administration and budgeting has been simplified by the straightforward 'per server' licensing. Financial Tradeware now have total control over their website and intranet and have the ability to create their own site templates and site content.

Inigo has been built using Microsoft .Net technology and, combined with the architecture of the system, this provides extensive scope for customisation and creates the ability to add new modules to provide bespoke functionality. This has allowed Financial Tradeware to build a powerful business tool in their intranet.

Financial Tradeware have used Inigo's multi-language support to provide content in English, French, and Italian. Inigo's workflow system provides the ability to send web pages to their translation company to support their multi-language activity.

Inigo has been used to provide a secure client extranet with VeriSign authentication.
