Online Services

Online services is a term used to group together a wide range of services that are delivered through the means of the internet and a web browser.

The big advantage online services havce over traditional computer software based services is there should be no installation required. This means the service can be delivered to any computer that has a web browser.

Online services are often offered as hosted services, this reduces the requirement on the user to maintain any software, or hardware. The service provider can maintain their systems centrally and often offer a reduced cost service as a result. Online services can reduce the administrative cost for a business of running a system.
